Random Favorite Picker for Songsterr does not collect, sell, or transmit any personal information. There are no analytics, trackers, or third-party services. The extension runs entirely in your browser and only interacts with Songsterr while you use it.
Your preferences are saved with Chrome's built-in storage and, if you use Chrome Sync, synced across your own devices. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else. These settings are:
The extension also keeps a short, in-memory list of the last few songs you played (to avoid repeats). This is never saved to disk and is cleared when the page is closed.
To pick a random song, the extension reads your favorites list from Songsterr's own API (/api/favorites) using your existing Songsterr login, from within your browser. This data is used only to choose a song to open — it is never stored long-term, copied, or transmitted to any third party.
The extension requests minimal permissions:
Its content script runs only on songsterr.com pages, where it adds the Random button and reads your favorites. No host permissions for other sites are requested.
None. The extension does not use analytics, advertising, or any external services. Fonts and assets are bundled with the extension.
